Throughout Coupeville

Coupeville’s getting scary in the Scarecrow Trail! This year’s theme is Beetlejuice. Pick up a map of where to find scarecrows at the Chamber of Commerce or Coupeville Library and vote for your favorite scarecrow.

Weary Bones Rest Stop Graveyard

Coupeville Rec Hall Parking Lot

Can be accessed through Rec Hall parking lot on Coveland or from Alexander Street, next to the Chamber of Commerce.

 

Please be careful not to disturb the… residents!

 

Carefully stroll through Weary Bones Rest Stop Cemetery and delight in the wording on the gravestones. However, use caution, not all our cemetery residents rest in peace!

Scenic Isle Farm Pumpkin Patch

Scenic Isle Farm grew an incredible ten acre patch this year for your great pumpkin hunt. It’s a REAL pumpkin patch! We’ve got small, large, teeny, huge, perfect, unique, strange, confusing and glorious pumpkins! 
  • Trolly rides to the pumpkin patch and family fun every Saturday and Sunday in October from 10am – 5pm.
    • COST
    • $5 trolley rides, plus the cost of the pumpkin/s you choose. (5 and under are free and get a free small pumpkin)
      • Orange carving pumpkins: $5 for a small, $9 medium, $13 large, $20 for an extra large 
    • We’ve grown all sorts of beautiful specialty pumpkins and squash, available in all sizes and colors at the farm stand, ranging from $2 – $20
  • The pumpkin farm stand is open every day in October for purchasing pumpkins. 
  • During the weekdays we welcome school groups for field trips to the pumpkin patch.
  • We will have a haunted barn Saturdays and Sundays, starting October 12th from 1pm – 5pm! $7 entry. We recommend ages 12+, depending on sensitivity.
  • We will have a Sunflower Spook, appropriate for all ages: spooky trails leading through sunflowers with a straw tower and games in the middle for play!

Grab your Lederhosen and Dirndls! Octoberfest at Meerkerk Gardens is fast approaching.

The festival happens just as the gardens start flashing fabulous fall color. Enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Bavaria.

Rhododendrons also will be a big part of this festive event. Check out the nursery! Choose from hundreds of plants on display just in time for the fall planting season.

Oktoberfest at Greenbank Farm

Get your Gemütlichkeit on and join us Saturday, October 19 between 11am-4pm for our first annual Oktoberfest celebration as we transform the barn at Greenbank Farm into a lively and rollicking beer hall complete with traditional music, food and drink. Headlining the musical entertainment is THE OOMPAH-STERS, Saratoga Orchestra’s own German Band playing polkas, waltzes and marches, and joined by our special musical guests, the Puget Sound Alphorn Society.

Dress in your finest dirndls and lederhosen for this family friendly event. We’ll have local handcrafted beers, cider and German wines available for purchase along with brats and hot dogs from Coupe’s Last Stand Bratwagon and traditional pastries from Seattle’s Kaffeeklatsch German Bakery. Enter the Saratoga Sausage Toss, Hammerschlagen (Nail Hitting) and Masskrugstemmen (Stein Lifting) for a chance to win prizes, plus a special family friendly area to include games and art activities. Proceeds benefit Saratoga Orchestra’s Education and Enrichment programs.

Whidbey Ren Faire is back for its second season! Harvest Moon Market is sponsored by Greenbank Farm this year and will feature a haunted barn, trick-or-treating in the marketplace for littles, beer garden, live entertainment, a haunted barn, food trucks, artisan vendors, and so much more! Your support contributes to Whidbey Ren Faire 2025, which will be next Spring on Whidbey Island in Washington. And the best part is that kids age 12 and under get in absolutely FREE! Tickets are now on sale for $12 online and $15 at the gate. As always, costumes are highly encouraged!

"Treats for Treats!" Pet Food Drive

WAIF, 60 Rhododendron Park Road, Coupeville

No tricks—just treats! WAIF is holding a Halloween pet food drive! On Oct. 26, on your way to Coupeville’s annual Torchlight Parade and Street Dance, stop by our Coupeville shelter and drop off a bag of dog or cat food, and receive a bag of homemade pumpkin pet treats! Feel free to wear your costume—and bring your pets in their costumes, too! Donated food will go to WAIF shelter animals, as well as local pets in need through our pet food banks.

Get ready to step into a Halloween wonderland with the Torchlight Parade & Street Dance on Saturday, October 26th! This family-friendly event is the perfect way to celebrate the spooky season with your community in the charming and historic town of Coupeville. Walk down historic Front Street in your Halloween best, with candy handed out by local businesses and organizations along the way. The parade concludes in front of the iconic Coupeville Wharf, where DJ Moose will keep the party going with a lively street dance until 7 PM.

This high-energy event is the grand finale of Practically Magic, bringing together locals and visitors alike for an afternoon of fun, competition, and a touch of Halloween magic in historic Coupeville, WA.

Open to all ages! Whether you’re a pumpkin racing veteran or a first-timer, everyone is welcome to join the fun. Bring your best pumpkin, your competitive spirit, and be prepared for an afternoon of laughter and surprises. Will your pumpkin be crowned the Iron Gourd champion, or will it revel in Pumpkin Pandemonium? There’s only one way to find out—race on down to The Great Coupeville Pumpkin Race and join the fun!
