Weary Bones Rest Stop Graveyard
Coupeville Rec Hall Parking Lot
Can be accessed through Rec Hall parking lot on Coveland or from Alexander Street, next to the Chamber of Commerce.
Please be careful not to disturb the… residents!
Carefully stroll through Weary Bones Rest Stop Cemetery and delight in the wording on the gravestones. However, use caution, not all our cemetery residents rest in peace!

Find the Frogs
Downtown Coupeville
Calling witches of all ages! Coupeville is overrun with magical frogs and we need your help to find them all.
It’s easy to play along. Go to Kingfisher Bookstore to pick up a free scavenger hunt passport. Grab stamp at the register when you find a frog at any participating business. If you find at least 12 frogs, bring your passport back to the bookstore for a free Halloweekend sticker. If you find at least 24 frogs, you get a sticker and a free book from the Kingfisher’s Seconds Stack!

Teen Costume Workshop
Coupeville Library
Learn tips and tricks to customize and make your own costume or cosplay from our library cosplay expert. Bring your costume or any pieces you have that you want to work on and we’ll provide tools and show you some ways to make your costume stand out without breaking the bank. Glue guns and sewing supplies, and some fabric scraps and foam will be provided, but bring anything you have from home to work on with us. As always, we’ll have snacks to munch on to fuel your creativity. This event is for teens ages 12-18. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Haunted books, shadowy stacks, and ghosts of librarians past…ever wondered what goes on at the library after dark? Find out at Library Lock-In, back by popular demand! Grab a friend and a flashlight and join us for a special after-hours event. Try your hand at fort-building, play a game of hide-and-seek among the books, and see where the librarians sleep (just kidding). Snacks, glowsticks, and ghost stories will be provided. This event is intended for kids and teens age 10-18.

Torchlight Parade & Street Dance
Downtown Coupeville
Don your disguises and get into the Halloweekend spirit with the Torchlight Parade & Street Dance on Saturday, October 24th! This free and family-friendly event is the perfect way to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year in Coupeville. Whether you parade down Front Street in costume, dance the evening away to the musical stylings of DJ Moose, or soak in the fun from the sidewalk, it’s sure to be a magical night to remember.
The parade muster begins at 5:00 PM at the corner of Main St and Coveland St near Cook’s Corner Park. Parade kickoff is at 5:30 PM sharp and the street dance ends at 7:00 PM in front of the Coupeville Wharf.

The Great Coupeville Pumpkin Race

Rev up your gourds! It’s almost time for the grand finale of a Practically Magic Halloweekend. The Great Coupeville Pumpkin Race brings the town together for an afternoon of friendly competition on Sunday, October 25th at 2 pm.
The Great Coupeville Pumpkin Race is an all-ages and family-friendly competition. Veteran racers, first-timers, visitors, locals and enthusiastic spectators are all welcome.
All pumpkins must meet official regulations to compete. Rules and regulations for 2026 will be available late September. Registration is free and begins in early October!
